Interview with Jason Elam and Steve Yohn

BookcoverpreviewDenver Broncos Jason Elam Co-Writes Action-Packed Novel On Football And Terrorism

Jason Elam was drafted by the Denver Broncos in 1993. He won back-to-backPic_jason_lg_2 Super Bowl Championships in 1997 and 1998 and was selected for the Pro Bowl in ‘95, ‘98 and ‘01. In addition to playing his 15th season with the Broncos, Elam is pursuing a M.A. in Global Apologetics at Liberty Theological Seminary. Elam and Yohn have crafted a story that takes an insider’s view of football and blends it with an effort to thwart a terrorist plot. The duo lean heavily on Elam’s 15 years of experience in the NFL to create the realistic backdrop of professional sports. Yohn and Elam, both Christians, have woven elements of their faith into the story, providing insight into the some of the central conflicts between Christianity and radical Islam.

"Having competed against Jason Elam for a number of years on the football field I've gotten to know him as a talented kicker and a great person. He has stretched that description to include talented writer. I found Monday Night Jihad to be not only interesting, but very thought provoking. It made me examine not only my thoughts about football but also caused me to look at how I view life and people around me."
—Tony Dungy, head coach of the Indianapolis Colts
